Trinity Nursery School was opened in May 1976 and is under the control of the Education Authority (formerly SEELB). It was originally built as a primary school and converted into a large two unit nursery school, in which 52 children attend on a full-time basis.
The school boasts a bright, attractive building which has a comprehensive and stimulating range of resources and equipment. Outdoors there are four play areas – the main playgrounds have soft surfaces and includes a shuttered area which allows the children access to physical play, even in wet weather. The grounds also incorporate grassed and garden areas which include a range of cottages, vegetable patch, bark pit and a variety of shrubs and trees to enhance play.
A recent extension to the nursery is our Parents Room which provides additional scope for the parent courses we offer throughout the year.
Our staff comprises of a teaching principal and two other teachers who are supported by a team of nursery assistants. In addition a part-time secretary, building supervisor and dining attendant complete the team. Our staff are highly qualified and experienced practitioners who constantly update their knowledge and skills through courses and training.
The Nursery is very much part of the community. We enjoy and benefit from excellent partnerships with local schools and businesses.
